We foster undergraduate participation across all disciplines by raising the visibility of undergraduate research on campus, facilitating students’ searches for research opportunities related to their interests and goals, connecting students with research funding, and helping students share their work with others. Key services include Eureka (https://eureka.utexas.edu), a database of faculty projects and research interests; student info sessions, advising, and professional development workshops; the Texas Student Research Showdown video competition (https://ugs.utexas.edu/our/showdown) and the Longhorn Research Poster Session (https://ugs.utexas.edu/researchweek/poster-session), which both provide awards to top presenters; and other fellowships and awards.
